15 August 2009 - Train Rides
I've been seeing happening things whenever I'm in packed trains. people charging out when they are alighting (wtf?), and then knock onto others, and then an argument could have started anytime. and surprisingly the people who charges out are always the women. is the GSS still going on? or rather, is there GSS going on outside the platform. its not as though you are unable to alight. just by saying "excuse me", and others would probably make way and let you through. is there really a need to knock onto everyone else and get off so hastily?
During that day for dinner with a few guys together with Ms Sum, we were talking bout the courtesy actions regarding the MRT. those stickers thats pasted everywhere, as well as the blasting music we would hear occasionally at the station. people actually needs to be educated bout mannerism. what are the views of foreigners who visit Singapore and actually see this kind of thing I wonder. true, this kind of education may have a lil impact on Singaporean to learn to be courteous and all, but then again...it may look like a joke to probably the Westerners. probably, its like what Anthony said.
is Singapore has a lack of culture to learn to be more friendly.
